It’s been long in the making – any day we weren’t separately booked we photographed together and many of our couples already knew us as a husband-and-wife team.

Everybody knows and loves Critsey – locally and across the US – so it just made sense to have us both work for our clients under this name. And you can still book us separately, just as before.

However, the days we had planned on got super hot and we definitely wanted to settle for later in the evening to escape the heat and also to get some great night shots. But the weather wasn’t on our side and we had to reschedule twice because of extensive heat or thunderstorms. And then it finally worked out and after some rain earlier in the day we went to our long anticipated session!

We started at Jetton Park at Lake Norman to get some really nice outdoors photos and then we headed over to Birkdale Village. It was close to dusk and it was beautiful there! There was some event going on and it was super busy but that didn’t hold us off of getting great images.

We definitely had to get a shot in front of Red Rocks Cafe – this was the place that Matt proposed to Stephanie!
I am very much looking forward to their wedding at VanLandingham Estate – it’s going to be a blast!

And the new URL is pointing it out: coming from Charlotte, traveling anywhere.

Congratulations Manika and Richard!

Trisha and Essex are a super cute and fun couple and we just couldn’t stop taking photos. One of the really memorable moments at this wedding were the speeches which were full of tears and emotion!

The couple and I wanted to do something special for this wedding and we chose to do the coverage is in 16:9 wide format.

Two days later we also did a Day After session, which was a very nice and romantic lifestyle theme at the Ranson House in Huntersville in NC. You can find those photos on Critsey’s awesome new Blog.

St. Paul is a beautiful big church in Munich, Germany. Finished in 1906, it celebrated its 100th anniversary a few years ago. I accompanied St. Paul’s centennial and documented the beautiful architecture with all its details in the following years.

If you have ever been to the Oktoberfest in Munich, you have definitely seen St. Paul – it’s the church right beside the Oktoberfest. Maybe you have even been inside …

We roamed through NoDa and also made it onto Salvador Deli’s roof top. What a cool view!

The boys got in style at Uptown’s Aloft Hotel, admittedly Charlotte’s hipest hotel, the girls got ready at the Duke Mansion.
After a little incident with the dress that Crystal, Matt’s sister who BTW is a highly decorated professional ice skater, fixed with skilled hands, the two got to see each other in the beautiful Duke Mansion gardens for the first time.

Ok, now it’s time for the cute little church: Caldwell Presbyterian, a hidden gem close to Uptown with a spring garden right by it.
So where do we go for the reception? Byron’s South End! Not only is this a great place for a party, it also makes for some awesome night shots.
